Cooked tomatoes deliver a subtle tangy juice that explode in the mouth and their caramelized skin bring a great contrast. The seared tuna steak make this easy dish a real healthy treat.
Ingredients you will need for the Seared Tuna Teryaki Steaks
For two:
- A fairly thick slice of tuna
- 3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 lime juice
- 3 1/4 tbsp (5 cl) white wine
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 sugar cube
- Pepper
- 10 cherry tomatoes
- 4 onions
- About 1/2 cup (10cl) of water
- 2 tbsp (30g) salted butter
- 2 sugar cubes
- Olive oil
- 1 tbsp (15g) of butter to cook tuna
Preparation: Seared Tuna Teryaki Steaks
Cut the slice of tuna to get four beautiful medallions. Make a marinade by mixing teriyaki sauce, lemon juice, white wine, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, pepper and sugar. Marinate the pieces of tuna for an hour, turning regularly. Put the onions in the mixture of water, salted butter and sugar. Cook gently until almost evaporated water. Then add the cherry tomatoes. The confit is ready!
Drain tuna. Fry it in a mixture of butter and olive oil. Turn regularly. 3 minutes is sufficient. Serve immediately with the onions and tomatoes.
