First, whisk the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the buttermilk, honey, and eggs then combine with a mixer. Add in the melted butter.
Pour the cornbread batter into the baking dish, then bake in the oven at 400ºF (200ºC) for 20 – 25 minutes. Easy!

Directions
1. To make the cornbread: Preheat your oven to 400ºF (200ºC) and set a rack in the middle. Lightly butter a 9-inch square baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Form a well in the center and add the buttermilk, honey, and eggs. Beat on medium-low with a hand mixer to combine, then add in the slightly cooled melted butter. Mix again until just combined. Do not overmix the batter.
4. Pour the cornbread batter into the baking dish, then bake in the preheated oven until the cornbread begins to brown on top and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean – 20 – 25 minutes, depending on your oven. Allow the cornbread to chill for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve the cornbread with a doop of butter on top and a good drizzle of maple syrup or honey. Enjoy! ❤️
