Directions
1. To make the spicy garlic butter parmesan pasta: Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling water with a tablespoon instant bouillon according to package directions. When the pasta is finished cooking, reserve about 1/4 cup of the pasta water, then drain the rest.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil and melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced garlic and hot sauce and cook for 2 minutes, stirring regularly, until it has started to turn golden brown and fragrant. Make sure not to burn the garlic, otherwise the dish will taste bitter.
3. Turn the heat to low and add the pasta. Quickly toss the pasta into the spicy garlic butter, then add reserved pasta water, parsley, and parmesan cheese. Finally, toss the pasta into the spicy garlic butter sauce with tongs to coat well.
4. Adjust seasoning with black pepper if necessary. Sprinkle the pasta with more fresh chopped parsley and parmesan, if you like. Serve the spicy garlic butter parmesan pasta immediately. Enjoy!

Tips for the spicy garlic parmesan butter pasta recipe
Adding flavor to simple spaghetti isn’t that difficult; it just requires a little imagination (and good quality ingredients)! With melted butter, garlic, and grated Parmesan, this pasta skillet is a winning combination for the whole family! Here are a few tips to make the best garlic parmesan pasta ever!
- To prevent cooked spaghetti pasta from sticking together, wait until the water is at a full, rapid boil before adding the spaghetti. Then stir the pasta as it cooks, aim for stirring every 2-3 minutes.
- If the garlic cooks too much or too quickly, it may start to turn brown and get an unpleasant bitterness. So as soon as the garlic butter pasta sauce starts to sizzle, take it off the heat.
- Use good quality parmesan, from a real block of parmesan that you grate yourself. Not the cheap white powdered stuff you can find in some grocery aisles.
What other pasta shapes can we use?
Linguines and tagliatelle are great options, but pretty much any shape of pasta you have at hand will work for this easy pasta recipe. It’s very forgiving, you really can’t go wrong!
What to serve the pasta with?
