Directions
How to Make the Strawberry Lemonade:
1. In a small saucepan, Combine 3/4 cup each of sugar and water and cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove the syrup from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or broiler mode. Place sliced strawberries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Toss well, arrange on one layer, and roast for 10-20 minutes until soft and bubbly.
3. Transfer the roasted strawberries to a bowl and mash them with a fork. You can also use a food processor or blender to process/blend them until smooth.
4. Combine the cooled syrup, roasted strawberries, and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a pitcher. Add cold water or sparkling water and stir well.
5. Add ice and additional strawberry slices. Serve the strawberry lemonade in glasses over ice cubes and strawberry slices for garnish. Enjoy! ❤️
Note: Do yourself a favor and taste the caramelized roasted strawberries from the baking sheet when they’re still warm!
