Directions
1. To make the Instant Pot sausage pasta: Turn the Instant Pot to saute mode. Allow to warm up and add olive oil and onions, and cook until slightly soft.
2. Add sausage, break up with a spatula, and cook until it’s no longer pink, stirring frequently to make sure it doesn’t stick to the insert. Press CANCEL to stop the saute mode.
3. Add pasta over sausage, then add the ground tomatoes, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and cream cheese and chicken broth. Do not stir, but press lightly with a spoon to ensure pasta is completely covered with sauce and water.
4. Place a lid on the Instant Pot, close, and make sure the vent is set to SEALING position. Hit PRESSURE COOK for 5 minutes. When pressure cooking is done, do a quick release, then carefully remove the lid and hit CANCEl to turn the Instant Pot off.
5. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve the Instant Pot sausage pasta immediately. Enjoy!

Yum! I have never made pasta in the instapot. I have always been scared of getting the dreaded burn notice. I have a large family so I doubled the recipe and crossed my fingers. I did not double the cream at the end though and I tossed in extra cheese. It didn’t burn thank goodness and my family loved it. Thank you!

Best instant pot pasta recipe I’ve tried yet! Simple and easy but tastes really good! I ended up only putting 3/4 cup of heavy cream in since I wanted more of a sauce instead of soupy texture .
