Directions
How to make honey lime chicken skewers:
1. Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes using a sharp knife and a cutting board. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
2. Add minced garlic, freshly squeezed lime juice, Dano seasoning, black pepper, olive oil, and baking powder. Mix well to coat the chicken and marinate for 10 minutes minimum.
3. In the meantime, soak bamboo skewers in water to avoid burning and prepare the honey lemon butter sauce: In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, minced habanero pepper, lime zest, lime juice, honey, Dano, minced garlic, and spring onion.
4. Thread chicken pieces onto skewers.
5. Cook the chicken skewers on a hot grill, undisturbed for 2 minutes, then turn them and finish cooking on all sides – 2 minutes per side, so you get these nice char marks.
6. Brush the grilled chicken skewers with the honey lime butter.
7. Transfer the grilled chicken skewers on a serving platter and serve immediately with remaining honey lemon butter on the side. Enjoy!

Tips for the grilled chicken skewers recipe
- Habanero pepper is very, we mean VERY hot, so feel free to leave it out if you’re not into spicy foods. If you use it, thoroughly wash and rinse your hands after cutting it.
- We recommend you marinate the chicken cubes for 10-30 minutes for maximum flavor.
- Check if the chicken is cooked by cutting into a large piece. It should be hot and no longer pink in the middle.
- You can substitute butter for paleo and vegan butter for strictly dairy-free.
