Directions
1. To make the garlic-lime shrimp: Combine garlic, honey, lime juice, salt, and Cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
2. Heat up a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and butter. Sear shrimp on both sides for about 4 minutes total, then add the garlic honey lime sauce. Cook the shrimp, flipping side from time to time until the garlic honey lime sauce starts to caramelize.

How to Make Garlic Lime Shrimp Recipe
These garlic-lime shrimp cook very quickly – all you need is about 2 minutes per side, depending on the size of your shrimp. Be sure to watch carefully so that the shrimp don’t get overcooked! As soon as the shrimp turn pink and opaque, add the garlic honey lime sauce.
- We recommend using a non-stick pan to avoid the sauce sticking too much and over-caramelize.
- Try to buy extra-jumbo shrimp, the biggest shrimp you put your hands on. Caliber 16-20 is a good size.
- Try to find fresh wild-caught shrimp because they have a better flavor. Frozen shrimp is good too. You can use shrimp tails on or off; we kept ours on for a visual impact on photography!
- Be sure to use fresh minced garlic for this shrimp recipe, not the garlic that comes in a jar. It just doesn’t taste the same and here we need FRESH flavors!
