Ingredients list for the Braised Lime Chicken
- 1 lb. (450g) chicken legs (drumsticks)
- Sea salt and fresh cracked pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup (125ml) chicken stock
- 1/2 cup (125ml) lime juice (3-4 limes)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
- Lime slices, for garnish

Directions
1. Season chicken legs with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Allow to sit in a salad bowl while you’re prepping the other ingredients.
2. Heat a large pan or pot with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Sear chicken legs on all sides until crisp and golden, about 10 minutes.
3. Add garlic and red chili pepper flakes and give a quick stir. Deglaze with chicken stock and lime juice and bring to a gentle boil. Add a tablespoon honey and simmer on medium heat for 15 – 20 minutes, until liquid has reduced and chicken is cooked through.
4. Garnish with chopped parsley and lime slices. Serve immediately over rice or bulgur for soaking up the lemony sauce! Enjoy!
