You’ve just found a bottle of soy sauce in the bottom of your refrigerator (maybe a friend left it there?) and you don’t know what to do with? Don’t throw it right now, here’s some ideas to flavor your dishes nicely!
Season your omelets, rice and pasta
In case of emergency, if you need to prepare a quick lunch with almost nothing in your pantry, just add a few drops of soy sauce over your pasta, rice, or mix it with eggs to make a delicious omelet. Soy sauce brings enough flavor on its own so you don’t need any addition.
Upgrade you vinaigrette sauces
Enhance your salads and vegetables with soy sauce! Combine it with vinegar, citrus, ginger, sesame oil… Personalize your dressing by adding lemon juice and ginger. Ideal with a few slices of cucumber. Unless you prefer a more exotic flavor: soy sauce and balsamic vinegar to dress a Greek salad.
Make Asian style marinades
To flavor bream, shrimp, cooked vegetables, or even meat … Prepare a delicious marinade. In a bowl or a shallow dish, mix the soy sauce with grated fresh ginger and a clove of crushed garlic. Add your chicken breast, ground beef or turkey breasts, wrap with a plastic film and chill for an hour. Take it out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking.
